No.
The Disney Movie The Little Mermaid was released on November 17, 1989.
It depends what you are talking about. If you are talking about paintings, they date back hundreds of years ago. If you are talking about cartoons, Disney probably came up with one way before the little mermaid. But the little mermaid is most famous.
The Little Mermaid, Ariel's Beginning/ The Little Mermaid III is a prequel. It goes back to when Ariel was 4 years old then around 14 years old. The original Little Mermaid is the first and Ariel is 16 in that movie. She is a mother of at least 28 in Little Mermaid 2. The prequel, however, conflicts on a few points with the animated series, which has been accepted by Disney as cannon. Some examples include that Triton's hair was red when he was younger in the animated series and brown in the movie. Also, Flounder and Ariel's meeting for the first time was changed. In the series, they ran into each other when she was about 6 or 7. He was being bullied and she wanted a friend so they started hanging out. In the movie, Ariel was in trouble and doing her punishment when Flounder ran away from guards because he was making music (which is now illegal). Ariel covered for him and they became friends.
They are not remaking The Little Mermaid in 2012. But i did hear that it is coming back to theaters in 3D. The only problem is that you gotta wait intill 2013.
he does turn Ariel back into a mermaid so that she may go look for melody in the sea but she turns back into a human at the end of the movie
sure did =[
i wish but disney junior is bringing some of the old cartoons like timon and pumba, 101 dalmations, little mermaid and art attack

Heck no. You go back in time in that movie, but the first movie is "The Little Mermaid".

Urslula is defeated and Ariel turns back into a mermaid. Triton realizes she really loves Eric and so he turns Ariel into a human and she and Eric get married.
Well......no but like that guy said to the little boy"MAYBE IF YOU WRITE A LETTER THEY MIGHT BRING IT BACK........"
Ariel could either kill the prince or die and she decides to die and become a spirit because she cannot kill the prince because she still loves him even if he still doesn't love her back
This happened in Disney's The Little Blue Coupe. It was never actually shown how the little car was born, but with Disney magic, anything is possible.
