Yes, there is a second series called La Corda d'Oro - Secondo Passo or The Golden String - Second Step. Right now, the only episode available online is the first episode where they show the new character rumored: Aoi and the new chairman of the school and Aoi's odd acquaintance who says things that cross the line. Unfortunately, because of him and the chairman, Hino Kahoko becomes discouraged, but Aoi tries to cheer her up.
Good news!! there is a 2nd season...well...more of an OVA...T.T...D: but it's gonna air on tv in Japan in 2009!! But if you ask me....they should have just made a movie and ended it with Hino-chan choosing Kazuki Hihara in the end...after all...they were the best!! ; D
