I allowed my 15 year old granddaughter to watch the tv version of Alien, which she enjoyed, but she said that her 12 year old sister would have been scared if she had watched it. I would not have let my 12 year old granddaughter watch it anyway, but it was interesting to get input from the older one.
I think Alien is more scary than Predator, but I would suspect a 12 year old might be scared of Predator too.
The films are rated for a purpose.

Good point , it stands to reason that there would be a hierarchical structure within the Predator species . The books I've read never mentioned or alluded to a ruling class but there may be since I have not read the comic book series . I suppose it would be safe that in the background there are those who organize the Predators and who also orders them out on these hunting expeditions . (I'll update this answer if I find out .)
