Your Answer: Barack Obama
we need a change
In 2008, his slogans were "yes we can" and "hope and change." In 2012, he has been using "forward."
During the 2008 presidential campaign, "Yes, We Can" was used by the Democrats to mean that we (the electorate) can change the direction of the country toward more openness in givernment and responsibility to the needs of ordinary citizens, in response to previous government secrecy and corporate power over the economy. (How well the change is coming out is a matter of opinion.)

"When candidates are running for office, they try to come up with a slogan that will be catchy and also inspirational. When Mr. Obama, then a U.S. senator, was trying to become president in 2007-2008, he and his campaign created the "yes we can" slogan to represent that we (the American people) can make changes, get get things done, can do more than we thought we would be able to do." He used it at the end of his 2004 senatorial victory speech in Illinois and indicated there that it had been used since the start of that campaign. The exact wording is, "I have three words for them. What are those words? Yes, we can."

Perhaps his best known quote from his first presidential campaign (in addition to his campaign slogan of 2008, "Yes We Can") was from a speech he gave in early 2008. He said, "Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."
