Call DriveTrain.com 1-800-216-1632 they should be able to help you figure out which C4 you have. Hope This Helps and Good Luck.
The sensor is located in the tail shaft housing of the transmission (where the drive shaft attaches to the transmission). It screws into the housing and has a two wire plug on it. hope this helps
I wondered the same thing. The radiator doesn't only cool the engine coolant, It also cools the transmission fluid that comes from your transmission through the cooling lines. So your radiator has a crack somewhere and that would explain the transmission fluid leaking out. Hope that answers it. William @ JeepGrandCherokeeTransmission.com
A500 Transmission normally comes in the 82-00 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and other models with a straight 6 or V6 engines. There is a PDF manual out on the web you can obtain free for rebuilding it. I did my own with a friend and then had my work checked by a shop for precaution as to my work. Not sure what the wen site is where I obtained it, however you can search for ATSG Transmission Manual for 42 RH (A500)-46RH (A518)-47RH (A618) This is what the title of the manual, it should be easy to find. This manual is very good. Pages you may use frequently within the manual you might want to print more than one on those pages to prevent grease/fluids to damaged with reading. To be used outside the manual binder. Just keep the manual handy in incase that were the case. Keep the pdf file in a safe place. The A 518 is usually for a V8
standing at the radiator it is the 2 wire sensor all the way to the right of the transmission case. standing at the radiator it is the 2 wire sensor all the way to the right of the front of the transmission case
This comes to a great many of issues and questions. First are they both the same transmission, is the Dakota ment to have 4WD, what is your fabricating cababilites... so on and so forth. Personal suggestion, don't bother, but if you are determined you can make anything fit anywhere.
A stock Nissan transmission is usually what comes with it. You know? Sometimes I hear that they had both automatic AND manual transmissions.
On the side of the transmission there is a fill plug that is used for adding fluid. Fill it with Automatic Transmission fluid unitll it comes out of that hole. Then you know it's full. Macs Transmissions 281-394-4951 Macstransmissions@gmail.com
When it comes to vehicle repairs it honestly depends on what it being repaired. For instance rebuilding a transmission won't cost the same as changing somebody's oil.
The ECU enhances throttle response and the transmissions shifts a bit more aggressively. It is completely safe for both the engine and transmission.
Ford F-750 comes with one of five manual transmission options or one of four automatic transmission options. The fluid can be Mercon or Dextron II. If you have one of the Eaton-Fuller manual transmissions, the OEM recommends you use 50W synthetic.

the carberator rebuild kit comes with rebuild instructions and requires an understanding of how a carb works.
I just received the quote for my 2001 Intrepid transmission repair (new torque converter, IO sensors, planetary assembly, and some kit with new clutch, seals, etc...), essentially a rebuilt transmission. The total cost comes to $2171.55. Great Chirstmas present.
The Comanche comes with a 4.0 inline 6. But no the transmissions are not swappable, different bolt patterns
A haynes or chiltons manual shows how to do this step by step.Sold at most auto stores and if not on the shelf they can order it for you and have in a day or two or more.If the kit to rebuild it is costly I would just buy a new remanufactured one that comes with a warranty if it were me.Saves time and hassle of removal, tear down and reinstall.I say buy a new distributor it will be the best route over rebuilding I assure you.
No, I looked into this myself. I have the 93 escort GT with a 1.8. Only another 1.8 escort and certain tracer transmissions will fit. The price does not come cheap between $800 (rebuild) and $1500 (new). I thought I was going to have to trash the whole car because of the transmission. If you are having trouble getting the car to go in first gear, and shifting up to 3rd gear while driving, or going in reverse, join the club. Buy a new transmission filter ($20) and some new transmission fluid ($10). The transmission pan comes off and the filter is right there. My car runs pretty good now, it should last me a few more years. I was amazed how this worked over buying a brand new transmission.
now this is just me but im quite sure standard transmissions dont have fluid. they are just packed with greese .... but then again i have an auto and have only worked on older things when it comes to trans.
