They aren't goth, emo, or punk. Goth Music is more dark rock...like, you know Siouxsie and the Banshees? That's more of a goth band. Emo music is music with really deep emotional lyrics, like Evanescence or Flyleaf. And punks, they're about being rebellious, outrageous, offensive...so, yeah, they don't really listen to mainstream bands (e.g. Foo Fighters), preppy bands (e.g. Jonas brothers), and/or bands that are obviously trying to copy other bands (e.g. We Are The Fallen). Punk bands are more like Sex Pistols. So, no...Good Charlotte is more of an alternative rock band.
