They were "discovered" in 2002-2003 because the cds they were passing out to their students in their youth group(s) found its way to Steven Curtis Chapman(singer- Christian legend) and Mark Miller (Provident Label Group). All seven members of Casting Crowns are still currently all youth pastors.
