Yes its true it does. There are many reasons but oil get thinner with heat and will rush past any gaps. Usually the main end bearing is to blame. However Does the low oil pressure lamp come on? (7PSI). In most cases the oil pressure is +60PSI when cold and idle. However when hot most late BSA's show about 10PSI at idle. You're good to keep riding but if the lamp comes on at high revs stop!
