I talked to an expert at Total Battery and he said "yes, you can substitute NiMh batteries instead of NiCad, and still use the same charger."
I dug up one of my old dead NiCad AA batteries and it's the same voltage as the AA NiMh battery.

An Eveready 748 is a combination battery--it has both a 90-volt B battery section and a 1.5-volt A battery section.
Cobra MicroTalk radios are two way radios or walkie talkies that allow you to keep in contact with someone a certain distance away without making a phone call.
Check the range that the 2-way radios can operate in. If longer distances are maintained between the radios, opt for the radios with the highest operating range. Also, you should look for estimated battery life. Make sure that the batteries can last long enough or not require too many changes during your planned activities.
The vast majority of radios in the 1930s were very large console radios. They had heavy wooden cabinets and looked like furniture. But they did also have portable battery operated radios too. They used a 1.5V dry cell to power the tube filaments and a 45V to 150V dry battery to power the tube plates. These batteries alone might weigh 1 to 2 pounds, so although the radios were portable they were not light weight. Also as these radios used fewer tubes than the console radios did, they usually had lower sensitivity, selectivity, and "extra features" so could not pick up as many stations or receive as many bands or produce as good sound or support "magic eye" tuning, etc.
There are many types of emergency radios available. Some of the types of radio available include Ham radio, AM radios, FM radios, CB radios and walkie talkies.
Yes, shower radios really work without getting wet.
All of the radio models share the same battery life.
Depends which size of battery, what you are powering with it (motors take more power than radios), and which grade of battery you are using.
Depending on the type of pocket radio that you are using, usually triple A or double A batteries will work. There are also a few pocket radios that require the same battery that is used for the phone, a lithium ion battery.
There are many items that can be charged with a battery. Examples of things that can be charged with a battery include radios, remote control cars, and Sony Walkman devices.

Yes, all clock radios do have alarm functions. I was unable to find one without it after searching.
Yes, Motorola does make portable radios. They make about 10 styles, ranging in price from $45 to $80. The battery life tends to run about eight hours.

Yes.. Well, not the engine of it. The engine/movement of the car is the power of gas/oil. Not the battery. The battery controls: lights, radios, heaters.....etc Hope this helped ;)

Some can be, and some are run by electricity. They all run on electricity. But some run on DC battery voltage and some run on AC household voltage. Some can even run on DC or AC voltage. All automobile radios run on DC battery voltage.
