Suitable battery for canon A 1000 IS?
Canon A1000IS is AA battery camera. AA battery camera is the
most suitable for High capacity NIMH battery.Because,the working
current of camera is very large, nearly 1000mah.For examples SONY
DSC-P92,Maximum working current can reach 1350mah.This kind of
electric appliance is the higher requirement to the Load capacity
of battery. NIMH battery has better load capacity than Alkaline
battery. So AA battery camera used NIMH battery can take more
photos.
I have done the experiment and collect many data from different
people different cameras. I can draw the following general
conclusions. If you have interests,you also can go to check.
If the camera can takes more than 10 photos with two AA alkaline
batteries, the camera can flash photography more than 1000 pieces
with two AA 2300MAH NIMH batteries.
If the camera can takes more than 200 photos with four AA
alkaline batteries, the camera can flash photography more than 1500
pieces with four AA 2300MAH NIMH batteries.
And the data of the camera with four batteries is more accurate
than the one with two batteries.
The following series FUJI S2500,FUJIS2600,FUJIS2900,CANON
S2IS,NIKON L100,L110,L120 both can reach the good effect.
But the charge of NIMH battery is really a problem. Now,NIMH
battery changer usually use constant voltage source. The way always
cannot charge sufficient NIMH battery fully. Because the charging
current of the constant voltage source can change. It detects the
characteristic of battery to determine sufficient. But when the
NIMH battery is charged sufficient, the characteristic is
different. Even the same battery can produces different
characteristic when it is new and old time.So it is difficult to
charge sufficient battery with constant voltage source.
The constant current cource is good way to charge NIMH
battery.The charging current of constant current source is
constant.So if we know the capacity of battery and charging
current,we can calculate the time of charge.We control the time of
charge,We can control the total input power.So any battery can be
charged sufficient.
If 2300MAH NIMH battery can be charged sufficient, you can flash
photograph more than 1000 pieces.
