check that the fan kicks on after reaching the temp. that ur thermostat is set for. also u can un plug ur fan start the car the fan should turn on if not. u need to replace it also if having the fan on helps the overheating problem then wiere ur self a switch to turn it on and off as u please or replace the sensor get a chiltons manual it will help tons gives u diagrams the things i notice that caused a car to over heat were ( bad coolant , coolant has a bubble in the system , bad thermostat, bad sensor, thermostat put in backwards, broken fan, bad fan sensor, raidator not getting proper air caused by dirt oand stuff on the out side of the radiator.
The only way to find out for sure is to have the cooling system pressure tested.
There are a few possibilities. First, check to see that you have enough coolant/antifreeze in the system. With the engine running, (in park, e-brake on) and warmed up, watch the overflow reservoir to see if there is coolant returning at an even flow, with no air bubbles. Next is the heater control valve. this is controled by vacuum. The testing process is somewhat lengthy, but simple. You will need a vacuum pressure tester. Consult your manual for test procedure. The last thing that I would suspect is that the heater core is blocked. It will need to be tested for flow. You can do this while the core is in the vehicle.
it was first tested in April 1973.
he tested on animals
At this point, I would have your cooling system pressure tested at a reputable garage. This will pin-point the trouble. Don't throw dollar bills at this till you know for sure the real problem.
your piping for the coolant system or radiator could be leaking and causing a loss of coolant making the temperature rise. Have you had it pressure tested?
Have the coolant system pressure tested, the pressure test will increase the coolant leak.
Have it pressure tested and repair the leak.
If you do not visibly see a coolant leak, have the cooling system pressure tested. If the leak is not obvious it could be internal.
Have it pressure tested, the intake gaskets have probably failed.
have coolant system pressure tested and look for the leaks
It means that you have a coolant leak. You need to have the system pressure tested for leaks.
Not necessarily have system pressure tested to determine the source of the leak
have the coolant system pressure tested to help diagnose your problem.
the water pump is right behind the radiator and is belt driven. Also try to check the coolant reservoir by having it pressure tested
Have the cooling system pressure tested and check for leaks.
Coolant leak, possible heater core. Suggest to have it pressure tested to find leak.
