Howard Gordon's Guitar was a Gibson. I asked him about at a concert in Somerset Ky in 1966. He bought the guitar at a Gibson convention in 1956 The guitar was not available on the open market.. When he first became a part of the Chuckwagon Gang he used a plain Jane Gibson flat top. concert goers complained they couldn't hear him play so he turned to an Electric Guitar.

In later years Rick Karnes, Rose's son sang tenor and played the guitar for the Gang. His work was the closest to Howard's style. The CWG has a website at www.thechuckwagongang.net. The site will direct you to a blog all about them.
