Yes, his mother was 18 years old when she had him( her name was Cedella Booker) his father was Captian Norvel Marley and he was 50. Soon after his parents were married Bob Marley's dad left and went to America without Bob Marley or Bob's mom. He than quit school for one reason:music. When he started out he was a underdog. He came from(in that time) the hood. He had to get out of there and he still became famous. To me, he overcame many struggles without a father. This is one struggle he overcame.
