Yes. Late 2007 or early 2008 he overdosed on methadone pills. And went into a sort of coma. Around the time Heath ledger died. He relized that could have been him. And forced him self to stop using pill

"My doctor told me those mysterious new pills were methadone, which is used to wean heroin addicts off dope," he told the Vibe magazine in its Real Rap issue. He admited to being an addict soon after he had a knee injury and ransacked his house for pills when he wasnt prescribed any by the doctors. No worries though because Eminem has gone to Rehab and come out clean.
