Once because he were drunk. To prove to the police that he really was Eric, he asked them to give him a guitar. Then he could get out.
Just a note regarding Richard Clapton. His real name is perhaps Terry Goh. He chose the stage name after his two favourite guitarists, Keith Richards and Eric Clapton. Though he has released quite a few albums from the eary 70's on, he is pretty much known only in Australia. He did produce INXS' 2nd album "Underneath The Colours". There you go........
at age 17, he failed out of Kingston College of Art, where he was studying stained glass design.

According to Mark Kellogg, who was a promotion assistant at a show that Eric Clapton gave in 1998 in Columbus, Ohio, Clapton met Melia McEnry at a party that was arranged for Clapton after his live performance. Kellog was in attendance at the party and recalls their initial meeting. He also mentioned that McEnry was backstage at the show itself, but was unable to meet Clapton there. He was heavily insulated by his entourage and it was difficult to make contact with him. McEnry, who was a regular backstage goer made an arrangement to attend the party with a friend who was forwarded an invitation and was successful in meeting Clapton there. Also, a couple members of the local Columbus press recall the meeting. Clapton was kind enough to grant them short interviews while in attendance at the party. One Clapton insider said off the record that the reason for Clapton announcing that first he met Melia at a restaurant while working as a waitress and later telling another reporter that he had met her while she was working for Armani in Los Angeles (which she never did) was because he did not want the world to view Melia as a groupie, period. But in fact Melia did date other musicians prior to meeting Clapton and was familiar with the backstage scene.
The name of the song is "It was probably me" by Eric Clapton.More specifically, it is "It's Probably Me" by Sting, featuring Mr. Clapton on guitar.
The best places to find Eric Clapton's Unplugged album would be online or in store. Online you can look on iTunes, Amazon or eBay. You can also take a trip to Barnes and Noble to find the album. You can also go on Eric Clapton's official site.
I would put them about the same. Clapton, though is the far better musician and is can out play Dylan. I saw Dylan in concert and it was the worse concert I have ever been to. Some of the songs he didn't seem to know. I would love to go to a Clapton concert.
