Davis and Autry were a couple for a number of years. I've interviewed people who knew and worked with them at the time and it was a well known fact. They made no attempt to hide the affair. I have two vhs tapes from Knoxville memorabilia shows. In both the Davis-Autry is the subject of a lot of comments. Gail Davis and Carolina Cotton were on both panels.
