Justin Hayward's brother was a customer of mine in the early 1980s. He was the manager of Salisbury Arts Centre which was housed in an old church in Salisbury. He was producing a programme for an event which was due to start on the following Saturday and we kept telling him that if he did not get the copy to us on time it would not be ready. We had reached the cut-off point when we told him that it was too late and we were working on other jobs. He kept phoning us and we kept ignoring the phone, so at 2.00 in the morning we heard knocking on the fire escape door at the back of our building. We went to investigate and found Richard on the fire escape, which was only accessible from the adjacent railway line. He was quite a character and we have many stories about him, which will never be told as it is not respectful to speak ill of the dead. I cannot remember when but he died later in the 1980s, from memory, in the Scilly Isles where he was visiting for work purposes.
