I don't think so, he was always at the piano. He grew up across the street from my grandmother and was over 15 years older than me. He'd always come back and stay with his mom around Christmas for a week or two. When I was 18-22, before I left town, we hung out a lot of nights when he was there because there wasn't much at all to do in that small city. He was a character. He almost got me busted with 2 pounds of weed the way he was carrying on a grocery store right in front of a cop who was in there. :P
But he could have played drums at some point, I really don't know. It's not like I knew him all that well.
I can't find hardly anything about him on the web. I can only find 2 measly quotes about him from Julius Wechter TJB's Marimba player, about him:
"Mike White...I see lots of the guys from the old band, but have absolutely lost touch with many of them. Lou Pagani and Tani Kalish have disappeared. "
"It was me, not Lou Pagani, who played marimba on all the TJB albums. Lou played only piano."
Gary Morse, steel Robbie Harrington, bass Lou Toomey, lead guitar Trey Gray, drums Dwain Rowe, keyboards
He went on to play with Jan Hammer Group, John McLaughlin's One Truth Band, Serge Gainsbourg and Lou Reed, just to mention a few.
At the velvet days he used principally gretsch´es
Because of the medications he was on for his brain tumor (removed mid-1997). Lou Gramm has lost over 60 pounds since his recovery and he's looking better than ever.
"Lou" is a Scottish form of " love" or "lover".
No, he did not. Lou Gehrig played his entire career with the New York Yankees (1923-1939). The Seattle Mariners became a franchise in 1977.
