Yes, Rolf does sing a wonderful version of the Zeppelin classic, in his own inimitable style.
Rolf's version came about as a result of his appearance on an Australian TV Game Show called The Money Or The Gun. Some bright spark hit on the idea of every musical guest singing a version of 'Stairway' in their own style. The result was a queue round the block of artists and bands clamouring to appear - and a twenty-two track album showcasing the best versions, including Rolf of course, and also The Australian Doors who made the song fit the rhythm and melody of Light My Fire, and The Beatnix, who fitted it snugly into the sound of almost every Beatles hit!
Did Elvis ever sing Stairway to Heaven?gostaria de saber se elvis já cantou stairway to heavenhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJlcqMtDwHQ
Rolf Harris
Jimmy Page does not sing "Stairway to Heaven" Rather, he plays the guitar for it. Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin's singer) sings the song. The song originated in 1970 when Page and Plant were at Bron-Yr-Aur which is a small cottage in Wales. They played by campfires and Page always had taperecorders, so they came up with the intro and a verse or two while there later adding recorder (flute thing), piano, drums, ect. Apparently, plant wrote most of the lyrics one night by a log fire, just writing what he thought and out came Stairway.
