yes, it was announced on mon. august 10th 2009 that Brooks and Dunn had officially called it a day as they put it. they said if you hear any rumors going around don't believe them its just time. i heard this while listening to serious xm radio the highway

After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have
agreed as a duo that it's time to call it a day. This ride has been
everything and more than we could ever have dreamed.... We owe it all
to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don't believe them, it's just
time.
We will release our #1's and then some" on September 8th and bid
you farewell one last time in 2010, with The Last Rodeo Tour...(dates to be
announced).

∙ 14y agoThe world may never know, because the boys ain't talking. However, it is well known, from the interviews the boys have given in the past that, they came to Nashville to be solo artist.
They never really wanted to get together, each one had their own style, and they personally just didn't care for each other. I'm not saying these are the reasons they split-up. But, from television, news paper, and magazine interviews from the past several years, might suggest that these may have been some of the reasons for the break-up.
