Yes, in 1953 he did a series of shows at the Empress Hall in London. The cinema chain ABC ran a competition for their ABC Minors ( Saturday morning pictures ) to win tickets to see his show. My brother and I were regulars at the Regal Cinema in Purley, Surrey now part of London and my brother was lucky enough to win a ticket.

yes I was there curtesy of the ABC regal in Fulham he shook my hand whilst on his horse I was so chuffed I was only about 6 but felt 6 feet tall
