No....he died more than 25 years ago Actually, he died in 1971...a lil more than 25 yrs. He died in Paris France. Death certificate stated heart attack. the night before, Pam finally convinced him to try heroin, mixed with alcohol, it is suspected that he accidentally overdosed. Jim Morrison was an alcoholic, his liver was a cesspool, he was already on his way to death when he ran to Paris to avoid jail time in Miami, stemming from indecent exposure; public drunkenness and 3 other charges. He was found guilty on all charges. After the Miami concert in 1969, the "DOORS" never played live again. An alcoholic, junkie and cesspool, not to mention that you made it sound like Pam had to twist his arm to do drugs. Then you had to go there (arrest, trumped up charges). Pretty harsh! Then you want to start a discussion about Morrison being alive. That was the original question. LOL! He's in Rock 'N' Roll Heaven! Over the years, there have been various attempts to "fool" the public with imitators and stand-ins for Jim Morrison either on stage or in music videos. The two most famous are Iggy Pop in the 1980s music videos (playing with the other band members) and Val Kilmer in the Oliver Stone movie "The Doors". The cause of death remains a matter of speculation, but most trusted sources suggest that Jim had tried a local mix of heroin in a nearby club that was too strong for him and O.D. "friends" carried him to the apartment where he and Pam lived, and she woke to find him sitting in a cold bath...a common local rescue attempt for O.D. at the time. He was gone.
The Capulets believed that Juliet's death was caused by her profound grief over Tybalt's death and her forced marriage to Paris. They were unaware of her secret marriage to Romeo and the potion that led to her faked death.

Jim Morrison was with Pamela Courson at the time in Paris. Why he was buried there, I don't know. But I amd guessing it was 1, b/c he died there. 2, b/c he loved Paris, or 3. B/c of the cemetery he was buried in, held many of his inspirations.
The quote "Oh love! O life! not life but love in death" comes from the poem "To One in Paradise" by Edgar Allan Poe. In this poem, the speaker expresses a longing for a lost love that transcends even death.
