No. "Layla" was written by Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon and recorded by "Derek and the Dominoes", a short-lived "supergroup" consisting of Clapton, Gordon, Carl Radle and Bobby Whitlock, with Duane Allman as a guest artist. Clapton was the only member to have been in the Yardbirds.
