Songwriters who don't foolishly sell of all legal rights to their music get paid based on an estimated radio playrate found via survey. The exact amount paid will depend on your contracts and which music play pay monitoring company you are affiliated with.
No they get paid to have their songs played on the radio!!!
I want to know if the bands on the Today show get paid?
Yes. But only if you're a member of PRS [Performing Rights Society] or the other one, which escapes my memory. Every radio station must fill out a form listing which pieces of music they have played. Similarly, concert venues. And they then have to pay the PRS, who then distribute the monies.
no you do not, unless your contract determines this in which is very unlikely.
yes because if the director likes how he/she sang it of course the get paid.

yes, it is called royalties. the band owns the rights to the song, and unless express permission is given, a royalty, or small fee, must be payed for the song to be played.

It all depends on the band and what deal is made. Some bands are paid as a full. This is one of the business parts of Vans Warped Tour that makes the process very complicated. The band managers discuss the payments and of course hotels are free for the bands to stay in. Some bands stay with other bands in hotels. Some bands ride with other bands to save gas. It really depends on if the bands get along. (you can see how this turns out just LOVELY) Gas is cut out of the salary or paid for by the band before the tour begins.

Oh, dude, Arby's employees usually get paid on Fridays. But hey, if you're lucky, maybe they'll switch it up and throw some cash your way on a Tuesday, just to keep you on your toes. Who knows, man, it's a wild world out there in the fast food industry.
This varies from band to band - but headliners typically get paid in the region of £200,000 - £250,000.
Alec Guinness if you mean the actor that played him. If you mean the real person a fan was paid 2k by a radio station to legally change his name..
You get paid every two weeks. Always on a Friday.
