Its not little girl scream like you would think. Its more of a deep throat roar. But that's depending on the style of screaming. There is a death growl that's deep and raw sounding, whispers, pig squeal, but these are only for this certain kind of screamo/death metal ie. White Chapel, Born Of Osiris, Veil Of Maya, A Black Rose Burial, (All basically the same type of metal) etc.. The band BrokenCyde, though laking in talent, is a good example of different types of screaming.
^^ Find someone you know who is a experienced screamer and get them to teach you. If you don't do it right its not healthy for your throat and diaphragm.
There are many girl screamers out there. IWrestledABearOnce, Otep, Flyleaf.. So don't be afraid to try it. But know your limits. You wont get the same effect as a girl screamer as a guy screamer.

nothing i do it. it just means you like to do a false chord scream. there are in hales and exhales. i do inhales and people say that it damages your vocals more but that it incorrect. its so much fun and if you dont scream already you totally should! just my opinion. but anyways their isn't any meaning its just a music genre. :)
Anyway a guy can! Its not hard just find tutorials on youtube and you should be able to squeal like a pig like i can.
Screamo is a genre of rock music. Usually in Screamo the lyrics are sometimes screamed but not always. Screamo is a version of the emocore, metal, ska, and others that resemble those. there are Screamo songs that are fully instrumental and have absolutely no lyrics. When the lyrics are screamed its not like your 6-year-old screaming because her older brother put a rubber spider in her bed but a throaty scratchy kind of scream that most girls cant reach. That's why in most Screamo bands the lead singer is usually a male.
there isn't really such thing as a clean screamo song but try all that remains their new stuff is straight man
The biggest difference is that in screamo, even though some of the lyrics are considered "emo" the vocalist(s) will actually scream some or all of the lyrics.
Yes, they scream. They're a very hardcore and amazing band.

Screamo is a genre of music where the vocalists scream either some or all of the lyrics. The lyrics usually include emotionally charged content. Some Screamo/Post Hardcore bands are: Silverstein The Used Thursday Pierce The Veil Alesana etc.

in my opinion, he's definitely outward screamo-ing. =] apparently inward is for sisses aywhoo's teehee. but yeah, outward for sure.
It's possible they just like it. Screamo is actually a derivative of Hardcore Punk, along the lines of Powerviolence, Grindcore, Crust Punk, etc. What's currently dubbed as "Screamo" is a far cry from what it really is.
Your description really doesn't narrow it down, nor does the uncertaintly about whether you actually mean Screamo, or if that's just a phrase you use for any song which uses harsh toned vocals.
