Its inhale screaming ignore the last answer that guy was an idiot. It doesnt hurt your vocal cords as long as you do it right :). Look on youtube for good tutorials. :) Cha Cha The above answer is outrageously incorrect. Inhaling is a good way to seriously damage your vocal chords and lungs. Fry screaming utilizes your diaphragm more than anything. Fry screaming occurs when the vocal chords vibrate slowly. Most importantly do not use your throat to yell/shout. If you feel a burning sensation, STOP!!!! That means you are seriously damaging your vocal chords, which can result in necessary surgery. Fry screaming is difficult and can take a long time to finally master. But do not inhale, use your diaphragm and try and move the sound past your voicebox. One of the keys is coordinating your breathing and sound correctly. Otherwise you will leave the sound in your throat which, is very bad, or it will just be very airy with not a lot of power. Also make sure you drink plenty of water when learning to fry scream or actually fry screaming. Plus give your vocal chords time to rest, don't overwork yourself.
She screams in silence A sullen riot penetrating through her mind Waiting for a sign to smash the silence with the brick of self control Are you locked up in a world that's been planned out for you? Are you feeling like a social tool without a use? Scream at me until my ears bleed I'm taking heed just for you She's figured out all her doubts Were someone else's point of view Waking up this time to smash the silence with the brick of self control Are you locked up in a world that's been planned out for you? Are you feeling like a social tool without a use? Scream at me until my ears bleed I'm taking heed just for you (2 x)
No, Black Veil Brides do not use auto tune, as it doesn't work on a voice with a growl/screamy voice, and Andy's voice is obviously very growly, especially on the new album. And he screams a lot. If you watch live performances, you will see that Andy Biersack does not auto tune himself. However,he is not as great a singer live because of the combination of screaming and smoking have damaged his vocal chords, and he has pre-recorded vocals at times when his voice sounds bad to back himself up at the live shows. Some consider this "auto-tuning", but it is not. He is merely backing his vocals up to give them a more authentic, album-type sound. Nearly every band doubles up their vocals, it gives the music a fuller sound.
I must have dreamed a thousand dreams. Been haunted by a million screams. But I can hear the marching feet, moving into the street. Now did you read the news today? They say the danger has gone away. But I can see the fire's still alight, burning into the night. There's too many men, too many people making too many problems and there's not much love to go around. Can't you see this is the land of confusion? This is the world we live in and these are the hands we're given. Use them and let's start trying to make it a place worth living in. Oh, Superman, where are you now?
