If someone wears an insulin pump then they are a type one diabetic and that that is how they choose to take their insulin (instead of shots, they'd rather just "bolus" by telling the pump to deliver them insulin via infusion set). It does not mean that they are any more or less sick than anyone else with type 1 diabetes. Most people with type 1 diabetes live a normal life, despite the constant blood sugar testing and giving themselves insulin. It is a manageable disease that is made somewhat easier to keep in check by the wonderful invention of the insulin pump. Again, just because someone wears one doesn't mean that they are dying or that they are any sicker than someone else with the disease. It's just their choice of insulin delivery. :)
Insulin pump. The brand is OmniPod, but as of 2010 he does not wear OmniPod, he wears Medtronic Minimed, which is still connected to his body, but with tubing as opposed to being stuck to his skin with the OmniPod.

it is possible to get a small amount of seeping from the hole and not have a problem, if the water is dripping or running from the bleed hole then the pump needs to be replaced as a unit, they are generaly sealed units and the water my be seeping past the shaft because of shaft wear and not seal wear.
i wouldn't wear a dress. just be casual, but still pretty. if you do wear a dress, wear a blue one. blue is his favorite color to see on a girl. i guess wear blue even if you don't wear a dress.
I've seen pictures of her wearing them on occassion, not often but still wearing them so my answer would be YES.
An automatic insulin pump is the absolute best way to monitor your blood sugar. Unfortunately you have to wear the insulin pump at all times, a glucose monitor works well if you don't want to wear the pump.
