Unfortunately, it does.

Groups who are not confident that they can produce a sell-out will do this, because it gives the appearance of a packed house, enabling fans who attend to be closer to the stage, while keeping the price of tickets the same no matter where you are located.

Some venues have no seats at all, but require fans to stand for the entire concert, while other venues "General Seating" is aka "Standing Room". Actual "standing" enables the venue to squeeze in a few more paying customers where their limits with seats would mean fewer tickets (or profits) available.

Established artists like the Black-Eyed Peas, Christina Aguilera or Lady Gaga do not need to do this, because they are successful enough they know they can sell tickets in the front of huge venues for explosively high prices.

"Standing Room" also forces loyal fans to arrive WAY too early to stand in line and get the best seats/standing positions, leaving only "casually interested" people in the dust, because it forces those folks to ALSO arrive early for the better seats/places on the floor.

This is unfair to ALL fans, and many fans have been protesting this form of "fan manipulation" by not attending these events at all, but rather to enjoy the bands music online for free, via MP3 or CD purchase, or recorded live event on DVD.

I believe that music artists should be paid fairly, but fans should NOT be manipulated just to get another dollar or two in the pockets of the rich.

What is the Sandbar at Kenny Chesney's Concert?

Sandbar seats are GENERAL ADMISSION...first come first serve. The great part is that you are actually within one of four cavities of the stage. He will be in front of you, on the side of you and sometimes actually behind you. Tickets are limited so that there won't be more people than available space. Advice is to get there early to be in "front of the front". These are the best seats in the house and also have access to a private bar and restroom facilities.

Did johnny cash sing there will be standing room only when i die?

Yes, Johnny Cash performed the song "There Will Be Standing Room Only," which reflects themes of hope and the afterlife. It’s one of his lesser-known tracks but showcases his signature style and poignant lyrics. Cash's music often explored deep emotional and spiritual topics, making this song a fitting addition to his repertoire.

How close can FM radio transmitters be?

Geographically close to each other ? They can be in the same room of the same building, with their antennas on the same roof or tower. Close to each other in carrier frequency ? Your radio probably can't separate them if they're less than maybe 400 KHz apart. Physically close to you ? There's no danger to you if you're standing in the room where the transmitter is installed, but you probably don't want to stand in front of the antenna for too long. Driving past the station's transmitting antenna is no problem for your car radio.
