Ecm location 2000 jeep grand Cherokee?

I have a 1998 XJ. The ECU is located in the engine compartment, toward the front, mounted on the driver side. It is a flat aluminum piece about 3/4 inch thick with three (I think) plugs on the side.

Hello, its a black plasitc box right behind the drivers side headlight, or newer position is on fire wall, these are aluminum, has three plug ins into it, Import_Auto_Salvage, check me out on ebay, i sell these all day

ECM should be on the passengers side bulkhead (firewall) behind a bracket. You need to remove the coolant bottle, disconnect the connector and 2 10 mm bolts then move the bottle out of the way, the TCM has to be moved also, that is a 10mm bolt to the inner fender and a 10mm nut to the bulkhead area, then you can move it out of the way. The PCM has one nut again a 10mm that you get from inside the the inner fender (above the passenger front tire) and 2 nuts 10mm that mount the bracket to the bulkhead, there should be 3 connectors that you can see and release, and then a ground strap on the back side.

The ECM/PCM should be mounted on the firewall behind the radiator overflow reservoir passenger side.
