Cliff Burton (R.I.P) One of the greatist bass players of all time my brother in the instrumental world. My Idol amd mentor. He died sept. 26 1986 when Metallicas our bus flipped over on the way to a show in Berlin. in fact they were going to Denmark.he is my idol too.RIP Clifford Lee Burton

The night before, Cliff Burton and James Hetfield tossed for who would sleep in the bunk Burton ended up in. Burton won, and Hetfield decided not to take the bunk below because there was a cold draught, ending up sleeping on the other side of the bus. When the bus started to go, Burton tried smashing the window to get out but the bus fell on him.
