Country music hasn't ended yet it is still being played today
For a small country, the Irish are well travelled, and we took our music with us wherever we went. One of the places that Irish people ended up was in the Deep South in America, and it is believed that Irish musicians definitely influenced country music in it's origins. Well that's the history, but truth is that Irish music is still influencing country music today. Songwriters like Mick Hanly have written songs which have become major Country hits, 'Past the point of rescue' for Hal Ketchum is a good example.
The Music Machine ended in 1969.
