they are made the same except fiddles usually don't have chin rests and the players don't use shoulder rests. fiddles are for country or Irish, where they hold the fiddle in their hand as the play instead of with their chin and shoulder. but otherwise, they're the same exact notes and everything...

No . The violin and fiddle are physically the same, it's just the style of music that's different. Fiddle is more country and is commonly played with 2 strings playing at a time.
