Violas are typically between fifteen and eighteen inches. However, there are smaller violas for children who are learning the instrument.
Which size a person chooses all depends on their preference and size. I am a 5'4" woman and prefer a 15 inch viola because it fits my frame. My male teacher, however, uses a 17 inch viola. It all depends on the person's frame.
There are several different sizes for viols, as viol encompasses from smallest to largest: the french "pardessus de viole", treble viol, tenor viol, bass viol and violone (a couple of other variants exist, but not so common). To give you an idea, the treble viol is slightly larger than a violin, with a much deeper body, the bass viol is slightly smaller than a cello, violone is like a smallish double-bass. I've seen all sizes of tenor viols, not sure what's standard, but either way it's definitely closer in size to treble than to bass.
The largest viola that is produced in immense quantities is 16.5.
you can have a 1/2, 1/4, 3/4 or a full size. about 15
My Viola is about 67cm. I'm not quite sure if it is full sized though.
The full size viola is between l" and 4" longer than a full size violin with an average length of 16", The standard Viola bow is 29" long. This is slightly shorter that the standard violin bow.
There really is no "full size" viola. It isn't like a violin or cello that goes in fractions. YOu can usually get violas up to about an 17. After that it's really difficult to find larger violas. I guess technically a full size would be a 15. It's also usually the easiest to find.
An adult size viola is between 15-17" in body length. There is no normal.
A cello is the largest, violins and violas are both relatively the same size but a full size cello is about 48 inches long.
Viola is bigger by 2 to 3 inches. The size of a viola varies(unlike the violin) but it is always bigger then a violin.

There is no set size for a viola, so a good answer would be; as big as the violist can comfortably play. Most often, the larger a viola's body is, the more rich and fine the sound will be. But if you're looking for averages, a full sized viola ranges from 15 to 18 inches, the average being 16 inches.

not that big!
viola can be all different sizes- 14.5 inch, 15 inch, 15.5 inch etc. They are usually around 15.5-16.5 inches
They both are from the violin and the string family. The violin and viola also share 3 of the same strings: G string, D string, and A string. They generally look the same, except the viola is usually bigger than the violin (depending on the size of the viola).
about 4m to 5m's long so pritty big
Yes that's pretty big for your size. The average full growned male shoe size is a size 10.So your as big as the average full growned male.
