Memorizing may seem to be a pain, but if you give it a chance you will have a high likelihood of memorizing it. Lyrics generally tend to be longer, therefor they are hard to memorize. One method is to read them silently in your head, then read them out loud, then read them in your head, then turn the page around and try to do it for memory. You should only do a line or two at a time, because it can be overwhelming. Not procrastinating can help you, because sometimes memorizing takes longer for certain people, but it does not mean they will never be able to memorize the lyrics.
