They technically started their band in 1995, but their first c.d that was released nationally didn't come out till 2000 and they didn't become popular ( by that I mean selling C.D's by the Millions) until 2003 when their first hit single came out: Bring me to life, bring me to life is still their highest ranking single that they have ever had and it ranked number 2 on united states hot 197

∙ 13y agoBen Moody and Amy Lee met at youth camp in 1994 and formed the band together, they eventually started recording songs and playing them on their local radio stations. John LeCompt, Rocky Gray and Will Boyd helped work on Evanescence's early recordings, and eventually joined the band officially to record Fallen.
