How did Guns N' Roses meet?

Axl and Izzy Stradlin met as kids in Indiana, and Slash and Steven Adler met as kids in LA. When Axl and Izzy found each other in LA once again, they started a band called Hollywood Rose. Slash and Steven Adler soon started a band called Road Crew, and Duff Mckagan auditioned for it and made it as the bassist. Long story short, after some connections here and there, the two groups met and became Guns N' Roses.
