Originally no one was going to sing on The Partridge Family. But David Cassidy was discovered after he said that he could sing and soon they began expirmenting with his voice by letting him sing a few lines in songs an example of this would be "To Be Lovers" in the season one episode "Old Scrapmouth" in which Laurie got braces. And soon they edited his voice to make him sound younger through two albums and eventually they no longer edited his voice and he started doing solo tours and albums.
