How did shaun ryder become famous?

Shaun White became famous because when he was 4, he was so amazing on skis and sped down slopes, that his mom decided to put him on a snowboard at the age of 6 to slow him down, but that only made him more fast. His friends later began to recognize his amazing skills and talent that they inspired him to enter competitions and slowly he became recognized on the streets of his town and in 1997 he officially became a professional, world wide known snowboarder and later a famous skateboarder.

He is a snow boarder. He became famous for strapping a piece of plastic on his feet and sliding down the side of a mountain. He also has radiant locks which is ironic since he does cancer commercials.
