Far back; pre-mapping, the Cherokee tribes (subdivisions etc) were located throughout the Carolina's, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia. By the time of removal (1830's) they were located primarily in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. Between 1830 and present day, they have spread out to all known states (not to mention other nations).
