If you mean before youth and young manhood their first album. Then it was their friend Angelo Petrigalia who they hired to help them write songs so when they played at bars some people noticed them and since Angelo was helping them out (he's also their producer) they were signed with RCA labels. Now if you mean in like America because they were more famous in the U.K. they became famous in the U.S. because of their song "Sex on Fire" it became their first hit here and they've kind of gone from there.
