How did the members of one direction meet?

They all auditioned as solos on The XFactor. All 5 made it to boot camp but judges said that they weren't strong enough individually so they made them into a group, which named One Direction (Harry's idea).The exact time One direction formed was July 23, 2010 at 8:22pm Also when they formed One Direction theyalso formed Little Mix, they were formed for the same reason as One Direction.

All of the boys from One Direction entered The X Factor in 2010 as solo artists and then before being put to judge's houses, Simon Cowell thought they would be a good group so he created One Direction and they all got to know each other from there. Harry and Louis first met in the toilets but they weren't close until they got put in a band.
