How do absent fathers affect their sons?

It can cause a warped opinion about men and a tendency to want the same lifestyle for yourself. Many women from a home like that end up driving their husbands away "just like mommy" so that they can live the same drama. But in fairness, not all do the same thing. We either learn from our parents

My father left me when I was 4 years old, he used to beat my mum up, and this affected me in ways that are hard to explain, but I find it hard to do things that men are supposed to do, I am over emotional, and I find it hard to trust men, even as friends.

My mum passed away recently, and I have only just realised that I did absolutely nothing for myself.
My dad not teaching me to be a man meant my mum had to completely run my life for me, and in turn has left me up sh*t street.

We went to a place called gingerbread when I was younger, but we met this guy there who touched me in places he shouldn't be touching me, he ended up killing himself because he touched someone else, and she told her parents.

my mum was with a pr*ck (called Mick) for about 10 years and he didn;t even make an effort, all he did was stop me even having my mum as much
, so from the age of about 10 to 19, I was pretty much alone

Basically a lack of a father figure has messed me up in ways I can't really explain, but life is tough when you don't know how to be a man
