You cant. iPod nano 5th generations only have FM radio. If you look in the little booklet that came with it, it says FM Radio. Sorry but that's all you can listen to.
You would have to rip out and discard all the electronics in the radio except the audio amplifier and the power sup-ply.

On mine push the bottom knob in for AM/FM. Twist to change station push in to change band
