There is such a thing as friendship, but if he has said he loves her, but promises nothing will ever come of it don't believe it! Don't jump to conclusions that this coworker feels the same towards your husband that he feels for her. If this is the case then tell him you want him to leave (separation) and keep in touch with each other. Give him time to get his head together (within reason.) It's not uncommon for men 40 and up to go through Andropause (like women's Menopause, but not as drastic) and feel they want to recapture their young (some women can react in the same manner as they grow older.) Don't let this go unchecked and sit your husband down and tell him 'I don't share!' Meaning you both took marriage vows and he needed space to get his thoughts in line and this meant he couldn't live in the comfort of your home putting you through this misery. Hopefully this will jolt your husband back to reality and if not at least you'll know and you can move on with your life. I know that's easier said than done, but it can be done if need be because I've done it.
