all you have to do is pour some white vinegar - white, not cider vinegar - and let it sit for a few hours....at least eight...fill it to where the 'calcified' line is, then pour it out, rinse very well with cool not hot water, then run thru a pot at least once to get rid of any traces of the vinegar...this is one of those old 'homestyle' remedies people have used for years!!
