It's located in Korea. There are many entertainment companies including SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, etc.
JYP Entertainment was created in 1997-11.
The famous 'Big 3' entertainment companies in Korea are SM Entertainment (home to SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee, f(x), etc), YG Entertainment (2NE1 and BIGBANG) and JYP Entertainment (Wonder Girls, 2PM + 2AM). Honestly speaking, SM is probably #1 in terms of fame. I'm gonna assume that you're asking this question because you want to audition. - SM Entertainment can bring you A LOT of fame, but I really don't like the fact that SM is a money pig that forces their singers to work past their limits. They don't take care of their artists well. Plus, I don't think you would want to sign up for a slave contract. 13 years working for this company is not good. And training time is REALLY long. - YG Entertainment's trainee life is harsh, but if you work hard you will definitely suceed. It's extremely difficult getting into this company, because only the best out of the best can get in. According to YG Papa, "My trainees are all children who have talent not made through effort, but through talent they were born with." - JYP Entertainment? I dunno much about it. The founder of JYP looks a tad bit creepy. But I know that JYP's #1 priority is PASSION. In order to become a star, he/she must have a passion to sing, dance and a passion to be the best! You'll need to persist, no matter how many times you fail. You catch the eye of JYP? He'll let you in.
JYP is an abbreviation of one of the Korean singer named Park, Jin-young
