How do you persuade your parents to let you start vocal lessons?

Pretend to be horrible beyond hope and they won't want to spend the money for lessons on you anymore. Another less ruthless option is to approach them maturely about it. this takes most parents by surprise and they respect it and take you more seriously. Tell them that what you do is your choice and you don't feel piano suits you, your talents lie elsewhere, you are old enough to choose your own skills, you can't gain any appreciation for an instrument, or any activity really, that you are forced to do and have no desire to do. Something along one of those lines. And milk it, really milk it for all it's worth. Good luck!

∙ 12y agoLook if you want to sing let your parents know i was scared to tell them to and if they laugh when you tell them then you should just ignore them and follow your dream i want to be a famous singer and this is my dream i have wanted it all my life think of it this way if you were a caterpillar when you came out of your cocoon you want people to like you for who you are a beautiful butterfly, i know it sounds silly but if your scared of something you need to face it so i would appreciate it if you told your parents if you have and questions i will answer them just leave a comment.
