well start by putting your left hand thumb on the black button (note this button does nothing but the thing next to it does) and curl your hand around. next put your right thumb in the small curve lower down (below ring where u hook neck strap) and curl you hand around the opposite way than your left no you know how to hold it. no for notes to play b it is the first button/lever from the top that has an indent in it or most natural place for your index finger on your left hand (note if you have a old Saxophone it might be one finger lower) to play "a" play "b" but with the next button/lever down with it. "g" is "a" but with the next button/lever down along with the other two. now you can play a simple song which is mary had a little lamb. B A G A BBB AAA B DD B A G A BBB AA B A G. I realize their is a D in the song which is played by pressing the small thing above the black button with your thumb on your left hand, and "G" but with all the notes on your right hand (just use index, middle and ring finger nothing else) u are welcome bye!
saxophone is easier to play EDIT: not necessarily. as a saxophonist of 11 years and a guitarist of 7, i can safely say that neither instrument is harder. saxophone requires wind capacity, especially a tenor, whereas a guitar needs more finger strength. Find one that best suits you, which you are more inclined to play more often. (if that didn't make sense- pick the one you feel you'll enjoy more)

The best beginner alto saxophone finger chart to help you learn how to play effectively is one that clearly shows the fingerings for each note on the saxophone. This chart should be easy to read and understand, with clear diagrams and labels for each key and note. Practice regularly with the finger chart to improve your saxophone skills.
To play an F on a alto saxophone, you must play a G and then (if you know your fingering correctly) you play the key that your pointer finger of your right hand is on.If you have any questions at all, message me!
If you are holding the saxophone correctly, press the keys underneath your index, middle, and ring finger on you left hand and your index finger on your right hand. Use the octave key if you need it.
To play F sharp on the alto saxophone, press down the first finger of your left hand on the top key while keeping the rest of your fingers relaxed. This will produce the F sharp note.
The finger chart for playing alto saxophone notes shows which keys to press to produce different pitches.
No rings are to be worn one on a finger at a time and only on the ring finger.
A 'G' on the Saxophone is played with 3 fingers (ring finger, middle finger, and pointer finger) on your left hand pressed down on the 3 notes that you regularly use. (of coarse the saying "skip one hit one skip one hit one hit one" appals to this as it most the time dose)
To produce beautiful music on a saxophone, one must learn to control their breath, finger placement, and embouchure to play the correct notes with expression and feeling. Practice, technique, and musicality are key in creating a beautiful sound on the saxophone.
To play the saxophone effectively, you need to practice regularly, focus on proper breathing techniques, develop good embouchure (mouth position), and work on your finger coordination. Additionally, listening to professional saxophonists and studying music theory can help improve your skills.
To learn how to play the saxophone quietly, you can practice using a softer breath and controlling the air flow. You can also try using a mute or practicing in a room with good sound insulation to reduce the volume. Additionally, focusing on your embouchure and finger technique can help you play more softly.
