I'm not the worlds best but I can lay down a decent run with it, so what I do is using the side of my thumb flick down onto your E n A strings while plucking(popping) with my forefingers the D n G strings. hope this is some help.
Hi here is a good video tutorial by the legendary Tony Saunders.
It's great...
Hope i helped...
try to position your hand so that your fingers are pointing to the head of the bass, this may take some getting used to but it helps. then using the bony joint part of your thumbquickly strike the E or A string and quickly bring it back up, to pop leave your hand with the fingers pointing to the headstock and make a thumbs up figure without your fingers touching your palm. now slap a string and then using your pointer finger get under the D or G string and pull up. after a while you'll be able to put them both together There's also a free slap bass tutorial online available at HowToSlapBass.com
You can using exactly the same method. However, it does make an extremely different sound to slapping on an electric- it's difficult to explain but it is impossible to get the short, closed funky feel of slapping on an electric off an acoustic.
There are 2 ways t0 strum 0n a Bass Guitar.
Y0u can use y0ur fingers 0r a pick.
It really depends 0n which 0ne y0u feel m0st c0mf0rtable with.
If y0u want t0 use y0ur fingers then rest y0ur thumb 0n the pickup
and strum with y0ur index finger and then y0ur middle finger like they are walking
0n the string.
If y0u're using a pick then its easier t0 just strike the string d0wn and then strike it up, this will make y0ur strumming al0t faster and its al0t l0uder than using y0ur fingers.
I prefer t0 use a pick, i find 1.5 0r 2 mm are g00d, but again it depends 0n what y0u think is m0st c0mf0rtable.

If you have a Guitar Hero guitar, you have to play multiplayer. For the first Rock Band, you can't play bass on Solo Tour mode, but it allows you to on every other one. You use the guitar controller normally and, right before playing a song, it will ask you which of the two (guitar or bass) you would like to play. Select bass and it will have you play bass notes. On Rock Band 2, you do the same thing. This version allows you to play bass on every mode.

Flea plays bass. But most bass players CAN play guitar. And most guitar players CAN play bass. So Flea probably does play guitar! :)
Bass Guitar
No. But someone who knows how to play a bass guitar probably could.
what do you mean? like if someone says " I play a strat guitar " and another says "I play bass" then yes bass is a bass guitar. Any instrament can have a bass. like Viola is like an alto to the violin and a bass is the giant cello looking thing. (haha) and a piccolo is like the soprano to the flute. I play flute and bass (guitar).
You have too play co-op to play bass
