To play a low D, play all three buttons for your left hand, and all three buttons for your right hand as well. To play an octave higher, push down the octave key (your left thumb) as well as the three buttons on each hand. To play an octave higher than that, play only the first palm key on your left hand, and the octave key.
a low d would be all three of your top (left) fingers and all three of your bottom (right) fingers. a middle d is the same as a low d just add the octave key.
You press the button next to the octave key and only that button it is on the left of the octave key
It depends. A lower D is played with all 6 finger keys down, while a D up the octave includes the octave key (located just above the thumbrest).
its all open
It's a normal C with the octave key :)

The alto saxophone is in the key of Eb which means that all the notes are a minor 3rd (3 semitones) below concert pitch. A D on the Alto Sax sounds like a real F.
a flat is the same thing as g sharp. you play it with the one, two, and three finger keys down and the top spatula key, or the top key you play with your left pinky.
Yes it does take more air to play tenor sax because it is bigger. I play tenor and i started on alto and tenor sax needs more air. It's somewhat like transitioning from a tenor sax to a barry. it takes a crapload of air for a whole note. By the way, should the sax family be: sopranino, soprano, tenor, alto, baritone, bass, contrabass in that order? I would also think that the amount of air goes up as you go from alto to tenor because it is larger in size. I can play a high D (tenor) for two bars. == ==
3 fingers on top 3 fingers on the bottom and the thumb
You play it by the normal two A keys which is the top two keys. Then you play your octave key which you use for your high D
A b on an alto sax is the the one below the top note up the top A b on an alto sax is the the one below the top note up the top A b on an alto sax is the the one below the top note up the top hahhh i HATE the B scale. wknfw. but if you know how to finger them the notes are: B C# D# E F# G# A# B (two octaves of that)
You put 2 fingers on the top so only the first 2 fings can go on :D ok.

You can't play a chord on one Sax. You can play the notes of the chord, but a single sax cannot play more than one note. A chord is when more than one note is played at the same time.
